Abstract

The research objectives in this study are to find out the geopolitical and geostrategic aspects of moving the national capital. The research method used is normative juridical research which is intended as a basic research to identify how an event or certain problem occurs, namely related to legal issues. Geopolitical and geostrategic considerations can also be used to ensure that the relocation of the national capital is based on a thorough investigation. In fact, geopolitics is a scientific field that looks at political systems that are tied to where you are. As a result, geopolitics can also be understood as a political system or regulation in the form of national policies and strategies that are influenced by the location of a country. Every country, including Indonesia, expects International Affairs to decide the framework of public political improvement, which depends on the geological situation and conditions in achieving the country's goals. As a result, the geography of the Indonesian archipelago is known as Wawasan Nusantara.
