Abstract

The research entitled The Role of the Al-Ikhlas Mosque Youth Association (Irma) in Efforts to Prevent Juvenile Delinquency in the Educational Environment of Sioldengan Village, Rantau Selatan District, Labuhanbatu. aims to: (1) find out what is meant by juvenile delinquency, (2) find out the factors that cause juvenile delinquency, (3) find out the role of IRMA in efforts to prevent juvenile delinquency. This study employed a qualitative descriptive methodology, utilizing observation, interviews, and documentation as the primary data collection methods. The data analysis technique used is a qualitative descriptive analysis technique, which is carried out by reviewing the existing data, then reducing the data, presenting the data, and drawing conclusions. The credibility of the data was ensured by employing data source triangulation. The results of the study obtained are not only to prosper the mosque but IRMA also plays a role as a facilitator, motivator and main driver in efforts to prevent juvenile delinquency in the community, although it has not been considered successful, the IRMA Organization has provided a good example to teenagers in the community. IRMA Al-Ikhlas has a significant role in fostering the character of teenagers through various religious and social activities such as religious studies, leadership training, social service activities, and spiritual guidance. These activities have proven effective in directing teenagers into positive and religious activities, as well as preventing them from deviant behavior such as free association, brawls, and turning to drugs so that IRMA Al-Ikhlas acts as an agent of moral development and strengthening Islamic values ​​that are able to create a more conducive, religious, and juvenile delinquency-free educational environment
