Learning Strategy for Memorizing the Qur'an at the Darus Sholihin Islamic Boarding School, North Rantau District, Labuhanbatu Regency

Learning is a process of someone in learning. Tahfidzul Qur'an consists of two words, namely tahfidz and al-Qur'an. Tahfidz means memorizing, memorizing from the basic word hafal which comes from Arabic hafidza - yahfadzu - hifdzan is the opposite of forgetting, which is always remembering and forgetting a little. Memorizing is an activity of implanting something verbal material in memory, so that later it can be reproduced (remembered) literally, according to the original material, and storing impressions that later when needed can be recalled to the conscious mind. And including a number of people who memorize. Memorizers of the Qur'an are people who memorize every verse in the Qur'an from the first verse to the last verse. Memorizers of the Qur'an are required to memorize the whole thing both in memorization and accuracy. Therefore, it is not called a perfect memorizer who memorizes only half or a third of the Qur'an and does not perfect it. From the research conducted, the following research results were obtained: the process of memorizing the Qur'an by requiring children to attend congregational prayers supervised by teachers. There is attendance for students, for students who do not attend congregational Dhuhur prayers there are sanctions or punishments from the school. There are also rewards for students who obey and comply with the rules/activities at the Darus Sholihin Rantauprapat Islamic Boarding School, Labuhanbatu Regency. The character education values instilled through the habit of praying the Dhuhur prayer in congregation are religious, disciplined, and leadership. Obstacles that are often faced are lack of time management, boredom of students, and differences in memory abilities of each individual, so the need for a systematic and adaptive strategy greatly influences the success of the tahfidhul Qur'an program at the Islamic boarding school.
