Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of using educational game tools to improve the memorization of Asmaul Husna in Aqidah Akhlak lessons at TPQ Ar-Rayyan in Citeureup, Sumedang Regency. This study employed a qualitative descriptive research method. Data were gained by observations, interviews, and documentation. The results indicated that the use of educational game tools significantly increases students' enthusiasm, motivation, and engagement in learning. Thus it positively impacts to memorizing and understanding of Asmaul Husna. The implementation of educational game tools also helps teachers to overcome studentS’ boredom and create an enjoyable and interactive learning process. Therefore, the use of educational game tools is highly recommended as an alternative teaching strategy for developing students' memorization skills and character in religious educational institutions. For further research it is highly recommended to include more developing varied game tools, providing adequate supporting facilities by educational institutions and conducting regular teacher training.
