Abstract

This study is driven by the increase in Operating Expenses to Operating Income (OEOI), as most of the company's operating income is used up for operating costs, leading to inefficiencies in managing these costs. Non-Performing Financing (NPF) has increased due to the significant proportion of problematic financing (bad credit, doubtful, or substandard) compared to the total funding disbursed, which has an impact on the risk of loss from the financing. Negative Economic Value Added (EVA) occurs when profits fail to exceed the cost of capital, resulting in inadequate added value. The purpose of this study is to analyze the Evaluation of Economic Value Added in the Assessment of Operational Expenses Against Operational Income (OEOI) and non-performing financing (NPF) at PT. BPRS Al Washliyah Medan. This research employs a quantitative descriptive method utilizing secondary data. According to the study's results, a high Operational Expenses against Operational Income (OEOI) ratio, combined with a negative Economic Value Added (EVA) value, indicates that PT. BPRS Al Washliyah Medan has high operational costs and is unable to generate economic added value for shareholders. High Non-Performing Financing (NPF) with a negative Economic Value Added (EVA) value indicates that PT. BPRS Al Washliyah Medan has failed to manage financing risks, so it is not effective in creating adequate added value from its operational activities.
